Welcome to Garden of Curls! My name is Linda and I am a teacher, wife and proud mother of three beautiful children. I am Swedish and live in Sweden but I have chosen to write this blog in English so that all my friends and family members from all over the world can read and share this journey with me.
I created this blog and website to share what I have learnt over the years of caring for my children’s beautifully curly biracial hair. I hope to inspire and help others discover how beautiful, special and versatile biracial hair is in all different colors, textures and hair types. Because no one’s hair is the same! Caring for tightly curly hair can be a challenge but it is so worth it! And it is actually easier than you might think!
As parents we always want the best for our children and one of the most important things we can do for our children is to teach them to embrace who they are and help them build a strong sense of self-worth and learning to love themselves.
As they grow up in this modern world full of demands and messages from the media of what is deemed as success and beauty I feel that it is so important to prepare them and help them by stating an example and coming together to promote the beauty of the individuals. There will always be someone with longer hair, slimmer waist or better singing voice but there will never be anyone better at being you than you, and you are beautiful in your uniqueness. Remember that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and if you love yourself then you are beautiful!
